Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients - we will be cooking with them in a moment
-
Soak the mushrooms. Soak the mushrooms in warm water and let them soften
-
Slice the potatoes. Peel the potatoes and cut them into smaller pieces
-
Cook the potatoes. Put the potatoes into salted water and cook over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes until tender (depending on the size of the pieces)
-
Slice the shallot and spring onion. Cut the shallot into small dice and the spring onion into rings
-
Sear the meat. Season the pork chop with salt and pepper and sear it in a pan over higher heat for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown, or let a larger piece finish in the oven at 100 C
-
Sweat the shallot. In the pan where you seared the meat, melt the butter and saute the shallot over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes until translucent
-
Prepare the mushroom sauce. Add the mushrooms together with the water they were soaked in, add the garlic pressed through a garlic press and the bouillon dissolved in water (or use stock if you have it) and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes until the liquid reduces into a sauce, then season to taste
-
Prepare the smashed potatoes. Mash the cooked potatoes, season with salt, add the spring onion and butter, and mix to form a coarse mash
-
Serve the dish. Serve the pork chop with mushroom sauce and smashed potatoes

Meatloaf in Creamy Sauce and Carlsbad Dumpling
Make a traditional creamy sauce, just a little differently and more quickly. Instead of beef, we will prepare it with meatloaf roast. As a side dish, we will use a soft and delicious Karlovy Vary dumpling.
