Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients – we'll be cooking from them in a moment 🥩✨
-
Chop the bacon. Cut the bacon into small cubes.
-
Sauté the bacon. Sauté the bacon in a pan for about 3–4 minutes over medium heat until golden.
-
Add the vegetables. Add the vegetables and sauté them for about 3–4 minutes, until they slightly soften.
-
Add the tomato paste. Add the tomato paste and cook for about half a minute to release its aroma.
-
Pour in the stock. Pour in the bouillon dissolved in water (or use stock) and simmer for about 10 minutes over low heat.
-
Sear the steak. In a hot pan, sear the salted and peppered beef steak for about 2–3 minutes on each side over high heat, then let it rest in a warm place while the tarhonya cooks.
-
Cook the tarhonya. Cook the tarhonya in boiling salted water according to the package instructions.
-
Strain the sauce. Pass the sauce through a sieve (alternatively you can blend it, but it will be significantly thicker).
-
Serve. Serve 🍽️✨
