Steps to cook
-
Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients and lay them out on your work surface – we will cook step by step from them 👩🍳🥘 and preheat the oven to 200°C
-
Fill the fish. Brush the scaled and gutted sea bass with olive oil, and place thyme, parsley, and 1/4 of a lemon inside
-
Create the salt crust. In a bowl, mix salt with a bit of water to a wet sand consistency (in the video, coarse salt is mixed half and half with fine salt, but you can just use fine salt)
-
Coat the fish in the salt crust and bake. Place the fish on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and cover it with the salt crust so that the tail fin and eyes are visible. Bake at 200°C for 20 minutes.
-
Boil the potatoes. While the fish is baking, boil the potatoes in salted water until soft (about 20 minutes)
-
Remove the fish and break the crust. After the fish is baked, break the salt crust and remove the fish
-
Serve. Serve either whole or deboned and skinned, with potatoes and lemon 🍽️😋
