  • Double Cream 50 ml
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Capers 10 g

  • Plain Flour 1 tbsp

  1. Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients - we will be cooking with them in a moment 🥩🥔✨

  2. Chop the onion. Peel the onion and cut it into fine dice

  3. Cook the potatoes. Peel the potatoes, cut them into smaller pieces, and cook in salted water over medium heat for about 15 minutes until tender

  4. Saute the onion. Saute the onion in butter over medium heat with a pinch of salt and sugar for about 3-4 minutes, until translucent but not browned

  5. Chop the herbs and capers. Finely chop the herbs and capers

  6. Process the bread. Blend the bread into fine breadcrumbs, or grate it on a grater

  7. Mix the meat mixture. Combine the ground meat, onion, optionally the herbs, capers, breadcrumbs, and egg, season with salt and pepper, and mix thoroughly

  8. Shape the meatballs. Shape the mixture into meatballs

  9. Cook the meatballs. Gently cook the meatballs in salted water with a bay leaf over low heat for about 15 minutes

  10. Prepare the sauce. For the sauce, melt the butter, add the flour, and briefly stir over low heat for about 1-2 minutes, then pour in the water and cream and simmer over medium heat for about 3 minutes, finally season with lemon

  11. Add the meatballs to the sauce. Transfer the meatballs to the sauce and briefly warm them through over low heat; you can also add a few capers to the sauce

  12. Serve. Serve 🍽️✨
