Steps to cook

Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients - we will be cooking with them in a moment 🍲✨

Cook the peas. Cook the peas in water over low heat for about 45 minutes, until tender.

Dice the onion. Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes.

Dice the garlic. Peel the garlic and chop it finely.

Dice the bacon. Cut the bacon into small cubes.

Cut the roll. Tear the roll into small pieces.

Fry the croutons. Fry the pieces of roll in a pan with a little oil over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown on all sides.

Fry the bacon with onion. Sauté the bacon and onion in a pan over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until golden.

Add the garlic. Add the garlic and sauté for about 2 more minutes to release its aroma.

Blend the soup. Add the mixture to the cooked peas and blend until smooth (you can set some of the bacon aside for serving).

Season. Season with marjoram, salt, and pepper to taste.

Serve. Serve with croutons and, if desired, sprinkled with the remaining bacon 🍽️✨
