Steps to cook

Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients - we'll be cooking with them in a moment 🍗✨

Chop the onion. Finely chop the onion.

Chop the bell pepper. Cut the bell pepper into smaller pieces.

Prepare the chicken. Cut the chicken breast into smaller pieces, drizzle with oil, and season with salt and pepper.

Cook the pasta. Cook the elbow macaroni in salted water according to the package instructions, usually about 7-9 minutes over medium heat until al dente.

Sear the chicken. Add the chicken to the heated pot and sear it over high heat for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown so it seals, then remove it and set aside.

Saute the vegetables. Melt the butter in the pot, add the onion and bell pepper, and saute over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Add the lentils. Add the ground paprika, saute briefly for about 30 seconds, add the red lentils, and stir.

Cook the sauce. Pour in a little water and cream, then cook over low heat for about 10-15 minutes until the lentils soften and the sauce thickens.

Finish the sauce. Blend the sauce until smooth, return the chicken, and simmer together for another 2-3 minutes.
