Steps to cook

Prepare the ingredients. Prepare all the ingredients - we will start cooking with them in a moment 🥓✨

Prepare the cabbage. Drain the sauerkraut, squeeze out the excess brine, and chop it finely.

Chop the onion. Cut the onion into small dice.

Chop the bacon. Cut the streaky bacon into small dice.

Fry the bacon. In a heated pan with oil, fry the bacon over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes.

Saute the onion. Add the onion and saute over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes, until translucent.

Prepare the filling. Add the cabbage and saute over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until softened. Season with salt and pepper and let the mixture cool for about 5 minutes.

Fill the pastry. Spread the mixture evenly over the puff pastry and sprinkle with cheese.

Prepare the strudel. Roll it up into a strudel and transfer it to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, seam side down.

Bake the strudel. Bake in the oven at 180 C for about 20 minutes until golden brown.

Serve. Cut into slices and serve 🥓✨
